In this week’s sermon, Trey talks in depth about the psychological and spiritual need to forgive building off of Christ’s instruction to forgive in Matthew 5: 21-27. As Christians, we seem to be good at asking for forgiveness and forgiving others is often a much more difficult task. However, to not forgive can get in the way of our relationship with God allowing that hate/anger to cloud things. This does not mean that forgiveness will always be quick or that forgiveness has to mean that the relationship goes back to how it was. It does mean that we need to be on an intentional journey of letting of what we hold against other people.
